Hello Div.18 families! We are already halfway through the month of June with just over two weeks more in this school year. Check out the important information below:
MS Teams Class Chats next week: This will be our last week of chats. Ms. Ammaturo will host chats on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm. Ms. Norris will host one on Friday at 11am. Links to all 3 optional class chats will be posted in Google Classroom on the day of the chat. We look forward to seeing you!
Weekly Learning Opportunities for this week are attached and will be posted on Google Classroom for students. You can also find the read aloud audio files and a video from Ms. Norris each week on Google Classroom.
Supporting Our Learning Through Difficult Times: Check out this padlet our district counsellors have created to support families with a variety of topics such as anxiety, mindfulness, self-regulation, as well as activities around social-emotional wellness.
Student Belongings: For those of you continuing with remote learning throughout June, I invite you to choose a time to pick up your child’s belongings from school. This will be available each Wednesday from 3:00-3:30pm. Please email me in advance to confirm so I can have your child’s belongings ready for quick and easy pick-up. Pick-up will be from our outside classroom door so we keep the number of people accessing the building to a minimum. Thank you for your cooperation with this!
Families of Grade 4 students: I sent an important message yesterday via email about next year’s Grade 5 class placements. Please read carefully and respond. If you did not receive this email, please contact me. Thank you to those who have already responded.
Final Week: The final day of class for students has been adjusted to accommodate the current constraints with keeping numbers low as follows:
Cohort 1 (Monday/Tuesday students): Tuesday, June 23rd
Cohort 2 (Wednesday/Thursday students and ESW program): Wednesday, June 24th
Remote Learners: Thursday, June 25th (I will confirm the time to come to school and pick up the final report card and any other belongings)
On their final day students will take home their report cards and any belongings they have in the classroom. It is a good idea to bring an empty backpack or cloth bag to take supplies home in.
Have a great weekend and see you next week!
