Upcoming Reminders and/or Events:
- Happy New Year! It was great to see everyone today and hear all about the fun adventures and relaxing times over the winter break.
- We brought our indoor shoes before the holiday. Please send them back to school ASAP to help keep our classrooms and halls clean.
- Fun lunch orders are due this week for this term.
Here's what we're up to in class:
- Math: This week we continue to work on addition and subtraction strategies through estimation.
- Art: We have an Artist-in-Residence, Mrs. Nancy Alexander, with us this week and next. She'll be teaching us some clay slab skills. Each student will be creating a clay tile designed by them under the theme 'fantasy' which the class chose.
- Writing Studio: We will be starting a writing assignment on fantasy to go along with our art project.
- Gym: Games week! Next up: basketball!
- Goals: This week we'll be revisiting our goals from the first term and setting some new goals for the second term.
