Upcoming Reminders and/or Events:
- Pink Shirt Day is on Wednesday. Come support anti-bullying and wear pink!
- Grade 5 Purdy's Chocolates fundraiser orders are due this Friday. There is an envelope in our classroom's inbox for orders.
- No school for students on Monday. Teachers will be meeting at Lochside to do some work together on curriculum, traits of writing, and Google apps for education.
- Camp Thunderbird forms and first instalment for camp ($115) is due next Tuesday, March 6th.
Math/Art: This week we fusing art and math together and creating our own Lego/Minecraft art with area and perimeter. Soon we'll be launching into a math project designing their own dream room for Lochside School by applying their knowledge of area and perimeter.
Gym: In gym we are doing different Indigenous games to encourage cooperation and teamwork.
Writing Studio: Our next topic for our autobiography is writing a favourite memory.
Social Studies/Reading Studio: We continue our research on our inquiry questions. We are building up our knowledge in order to dig deeper in our questions. As we read we are paying attention to ways we can "read" information. Today we looked at learning from pictures and diagrams.
