Showing gallery: Photography Club - Week 5 Photo Journalism
This week the students practiced their photo journalism skills! We
discussed how the photo journalism style captures people “in the moment”,
reflecting their genuine reactions to events. These shots are candid and
represent the activity and emotion of the event, telling a story through
pictures. A quote from Dorothea Lange explains the goal of photo
journalism well: “Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life
by holding it still.”
The Photography Club collaborated with their peers in the Green Team,
using the photo journalism style to photograph Lochside's Green Team
gardening in the school courtyard. Their photos tell a wonderful story,
starring students dedicated to the environmental care of their school and
community!
Well done, Photography Club and Green Team!
