Dear Lochside families,

Upcoming Events:

October 27 & 28 - Royal Oak Middle School Halloween event and fundraiser is open to all students of Lochside School.  Screamfest runs Thursday and Friday night from 6-9pm.  All students must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be sold at Lochside after school on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  Entry is $5/person and all other costs are listed on the ticket.

November 2 - Policy 1100 meeting - please join your fellow PAC executive members from across the district, along with school administrators, district staff and trustees for the annual gathering of school communities on Wednesday, Nov 2, 2016 from 6:45-9 pm at Bayside Middle School. 

November 3 at 6:30pm in the Lochside Library - Lochside Parent Seminar Series – Dr. Lily Dyson, Professor Emeritus UVIC (Educational Psychology and Special Education) will be speaking about Childhood Stress.  Space is limited so please register at this link.

On behalf of the LEPAC, we want to thank all families for coming out to our Spooky Boogie event!!  It was a huge success with over 600 people in attendance!!!  We want to send out a special thank you to the Dansko Dancers as well as Jade and Chris from THE ZONE radio station for volunteering their time and contributing to such a wonderful night.

Thank you to all our volunteers within our Lochside community that signed up to help with tickets, food, supervision,games and baking the most beautiful and delicious cupcakes!!!!!

This event could not have happened without the Halloween committee who put a lot of time and planning into this event.  Thank you to Alysha Boss, Barry Kum, Heather Ruperto, Kirsty Hooker, Kelly Perry, Alex Slater, Marissa Cameron, Heather Galey, Heather Caul, Kat Watnotte, Kerry Walsh, Jeni Norris, Tina Lazaruk, Courtney Popowich, Jodi Holland, Shannon Anderson, Jenn Todd, Stephanie Skalabric, Don Mellings, Lynn Hood, Megan Mboa, and Nicole Whitsitt.

We also want to thank Joe and Joan for their constant support of LEPAC.

Fundraising:

Country Grocer Save-A-Tape Program – Lochside has been accepted by Country Grocer to raise funds for LEPAC via the Save-A-Tape program. Country Grocer will issue gift cards for 2% (up to a total of $2,500) of the register receipts submitted. There is a box in the front foyer, by the library where Lochside friends and families can submit their receipts. 

Cobbs Bread Royal Oak and Tru Value Foods on Cordova Bay Rd. are also supporters of Lochside.  Let them know you want to support Lochside at check out!  Finally, load up those Thrifty Foods Smile Cards for your grocery purchases and support Lochside at the same time!  Thanks for all of your ongoing fundraising support.
