Dear Lochside families,

Thank you to Joe Grewal, Joan O’Leary and all of Lochside’s amazing teachers for the fun Welcome Back BBQ last Thursday.  There was a great turn out and a good time was had by all.

LEPAC’s Welcome Packages were sent home on Friday - Please look it over and take some time to register for fun lunch orders and return the Popcorn Authorization Forms as soon as possible.  Our first Fun Lunch will be on September 30th and the first popcorn day is September 23rd.  If we do not receive lunch orders and authorization forms by these dates, we will be unable to provide these items to students.

Special thanks to Kitlin L., Sheila, Stephanie K., Nicole W., Lynn H., Megan M., Jodi H., Marissa C., Alex S. and Alysha B. for helping assemble and distribute LEPAC’s Welcome Packages.

Please watch for an Entertainment Coupon Book coming home in backpacks on Monday. With every book sold, our school will make 50% of the profit which goes directly back to our children.  If you decide not to buy the book, please return it as soon as possible in good condition.

A big thank you to Scarlet Yum for organizing LEPAC’s Entertainment Book fundraiser!

The first LEPAC meeting of this school year is this Wednesday at 6:00 pm.  These monthly meetings are a great opportunity to learn about events and activities happening at Lochside and to hear directly from Joe and Joan.  Child minding is available, so come on out and join us!

We are actively recruiting for volunteers to take on classroom representative roles. Classroom reps act as a communication liaison between the teacher, the PAC and other parents.  They compile and distribute the classroom contact list and communicate volunteer needs for their classroom, including fun lunches.  This is an important function for your child’s class and we hope you will consider it.  If you are interested, please sign up using our sign up form.

Want to avoid parking lot chaos?  Drop off your child on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8 am for Build Our Kids Success (BOKS). This active program will get kids moving before school! Meet in the field behind the school and have your child check-in with the volunteer coaches. This program will run from Sept. 20 until Oct. 25.

LEPAC is on the lookout for a mixmaster to make bread and a computer.  Second hand would be great!  Please contact Kelly Perry.

Have a great week!
