Volunteers are still needed for construction of the Outdoor Learning Centre. In particular, anyone experienced in concrete finishing, roofing, framing and electrical work is asked to contact Mike Brooks at mikebrooks@telus.net.
And to end our last Monday Update of this school year, a message from our incoming Co-President Kelly Perry:
“Wow! It was wonderful to see so many families and smiling faces at the BBQ last week, despite the weather! The support we received was overwhelming! A big "Thank You" to all our parent volunteers who helped make it happen. A special "Thank You" to Jodi Holland, Terry and Stephanie Wong, Mary Brookes, Rachel and Dave Caulder, Don Mellings, Stephanie and Ivica Kalabric, Jeff Thom and Courtney Askew for providing the wonderful ice cream treat ... not to mention Joe Grewal, Joan O'Leary, Helena Takhar and the amazing Teachers at Lochside for their incredible support. The number of parent volunteers was amazing; far too many to list everyone by name. Please know that the time and effort you all contributed to this event, and to all LEPAC events throughout the year, is greatly appreciated. Our school community and the success of our events could not happen without the support of each and every one of you! Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you all in September!.”
