Dear Lochside Community:
This week's LEPAC meeting on Wednesday May 20th will be our Annual General Meeting. Please consider attending this important meeting, which begins at 6:00pm.
There are a few vacant spots on the executive, including COPACS and Director's at Large. COPACS delegates attend COPACS (Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils of Saanich) meetings throughout the year and report back to the LEPAC regarding items of interest and importance. Directors at Large are executive positions for anyone who might be interested in taking on a particular project or role. Please attend the meeting if you are interested in these roles.
Lochside Elementary would like to announce the HAPPY PROGRAM (Home Alone Program Preparing Youth) is being offered again this year. Kathleen Lee has been teaching this program through the Recreation Centers for over 15 years. She is also now offering this valuable program through the schools. The HAPPY program is recommended for ages 9 and up and is being held on May 21st from 3:00-5:30. More information is provided on the attached registration form.
Parents and volunteers are invited to attend the school on Friday May 22nd from 8:00-8:30 for coffee and muffins in the parking lot for parent appreciation morning.
The end of the school year is fast approaching and our BBQ is set for Thursday, June 18th. It's always a great event to attend and even better to be a part of making it happen and be successful. That's where you come in! For anyone who can spend even 30 minutes at the event helping out it would be greatly appreciated. If you can help, please email Mary at lepacvolunteers@gmail.com.
