Dear Lochside Community:

This week's Monday update is chock-full of volunteer opportunities!

Staff appreciation week is coming up! The potluck lunch will be on Thursday May 14th. We are looking for a variety of dishes to feed our awesome staff - appetizers, entrees and desserts!  If you are able to contribute a dish on May 14th, please email Carolyn Phillips at thurslunch@gmail.com.  Please include your name, your child's name and grade, and what you will be bringing. Thanks for helping us make a great lunch for our great staff!

Keeping with the theme of Teacher Appreciation week, anyone willing and able to help out, please meet on the gym stage this week on Monday and/or Thursday at 1:00 for some cutting, glueing and wrapping!

It is the South Zone's turn to host X-Country at Centennial Park this week on Wednesday between 3:00 and 4:30 pm. We need 6-8 parent volunteers to help run this event.  Please let lepacvolunteers@gmail.com or Mr. Grewal know if you can help.

Our Fresh to You Fundraiser orders will be coming in soon!  Volunteers are needed between 12:30-2:30pm on Wednesday, May 6th to help bundle the veggies for pick up after school for those who placed orders.  We are also hoping some of these volunteers can stay to help with distribution or we'll happily accept new volunteers to help at dismissal.  Even if you didn't order a veggie bundle we could use your help!  Please email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com to confirm.  Many thanks in advance.

In other news, there is a Parent Math Night Workshop hosted by COPACS this coming Tuesday April 28th from 6:30-8:00pm at Bayside Middle School.  Dr. Robert Craigen is a professor of Mathematics at the University Of Manitoba and will be presenting his work on best practices for Mathematical
Instruction for K -12. Please see the attached flyer for details.

Have a great week!
