Dear Lochside Community:

Family Movie Night: is this week, November 28th - doors/pizza at 5:45 and the movie starts at 6:15.  Please rsvp pizza wishes at our punchbowl site to help us order enough.  Scroll to the very end of the pages and post on the "message board" here: http://www.punchbowl.com/partypage/5197df572d0811d2/view

Lego Club:  We are still looking for 2 parents to run the lego club for at least 4 weeks in a row.  The timing would be the lunch time recess on Wednesday. Please email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com if you are able to help out! The students love this opportunity so please consider helping get this club building.

Holiday Book Shop: Is coming up and LEPAC needs book donations and parent volunteers to help this special event be successful for the students.  Please refer to the November school newsletter for specific schedule details for volunteering and email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com to help out.

Food Drive: From November 24th – December 5th Lochside School is holding its annual Food Bank Drive. Thrifty Foods paper bags, a flyer outlining which items are most preferred by the food bank and a gingerbread man colouring page were sent home with students on Friday.   Please ask your child to colour and cut out the gingerbread man and deliver it to the office where volunteers will stick them onto our cardboard gingerbread house.  We appreciate your assistance with fostering a caring school community and whatever contributions you are able to donate.

Scholastic Book Fair: Thank you, Lochside families, for supporting our Scholastic Book Fair!  Special thank you to the coordinator, Kelly Perry for all her hard work.  We could not have done it without you and our amazing group of volunteers. We would also like to thank Ms. Heppell, Ms. Babcock, Mr. Grewal, Ms. O’Leary and Ms. Louie for their continuous help and support.  Last, but not least, a big thank you to all our amazing Lochside Teachers for teaching and encouraging our children to read every day and for fostering their love of books and literature!

We also need more parents helping out with Morning Watch.  Even one morning a month can help lighten the load for a few dedicated parents that ensure kids travelling to school alone are accounted for as soon as possible.  Email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com to sign up.

We are always interested in your feedback: feel free to write lochsidepac@sd63.bc.ca.

Have a great week,

LEPAC Exec
