Lockdown Drill Tues. Feb. 18th

Each school year we are required to conduct six fire and two earthquake drills to make sure students know the routines in case of an actual emergency. We are also required to conduct one Lockdown Drill so that students and staff can practise safe procedures just in case we have to lock classroom doors. This could be due to an intruder, an unsafe situation involving an adult or for various other reasons. Today we will be practising our Lockdown Drill at 11:00 am. Saanich Police Sergeant Nick Ross will be on hand to offer suggestions and adivce. We are trying to keep it low key and not alarm our children unnecessarily.  We are not providing children with too many details about the reasons for this type of drill. The drill will only take place for five minutes and students will stay in their classrooms.
