1) *URGENT/Cancellation Pending* Halloween 2024 Planning Group


Save The Date: We have our LochWeen Event scheduled for the evening of Thursday, October 17th...  

However, if we do not have a volunteer by September 28th, this event will be cancelled!

  • Right now, we urgently need one or two volunteers to take on organizing the Halloween Event. 
  • This event is usually a dance and activities around the school but you can decide! LEPAC Exec will support you with your planning and help you find day-of volunteers. 
  • There is a resident DJ available for this date too. smile

2) *REMINDER: Executive Team Role Vacancy*  Become Our New Treasurer!

LEPAC Treasurer Call Sep 2024

It is with a heavy heart that after 3 years, our beloved LEPAC Treasurer has had to resign, effective immediately. She has been a true gift as our LEPAC Treasurer, and we are incredibly grateful for her leadership and support during her time in this role. 

We are now tasked to fill the vacancy in an urgent manner, in order to keep on track for the current school year, and beyond. 

Do you like numbers, spreadsheets and all things financial?

The Treasurer role requires being organized and available for regular communication, and is an essential role for our PAC to function properly. This includes: 

  • being in consultation with the Executive and school principal, 
  • drafting a budget and tentative plan of expenditure, 
  • preparing monthly financial reports and a yearend report. 

Our outgoing Treasurer is able to help show the new Treasurer the ropes to help the transition go smoothly. We thank her for this gesture! 

If you are interested, or if you know someone who would be great, please let us know as soon as possible.  We are available to answer any questions so that you can assess if this role will be a good fit.

3) *Order Now*  Coupon Books!


The Community Value coupon books have been delivered to all classes and are making their way home. 

Books are $35 and you can order as many as you like. (Orders also accepted on the Hot Lunch Website, for your convenience)

 If you don’t want to participate in this fundraiser, please return the book to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. We will fill orders as they come in and get books to students the next school day. Please reach out if you have any questions: lochsidepac63@gmail.com.

4) *Reminder Grade 5 Parents*  Yearbook Volunteers Requested


Calling all Grade 5 Parents!

We need volunteers ASAP to spearhead a yearbook and Grade 5 graduation activities. 
The yearbook should start right away if it’s going to be done. smile

7) *Sept 26 Deadline*  Fun Lunch Sign up links (Order/Volunteer)


Heads up! Our first Fun Lunch is Friday October 4; the deadline for orders is this Thursday, Sept 26, at 8pm.  We cannot accommodate late orders. Place your order on the Hot Lunch website: https://lochside.hotlunches.net/ 

We are grateful for all the parents who help make Fun Lunches possible. We always need volunteers so please sign up if you are available.

8) *Sign Up Link Live*  Become A Class Rep

If you would like to sign up to be a class rep for this year, please use the following link:


More details: 

A class rep is a parent/guardian who works hand in hand with the class teacher, Lochside PAC and parents to ensure all information is shared. This is an amazing way to get to know your child's teacher and other parents in the class. A class rep also helps organize helpers within their class when needed.

Some of the duties of the class rep are:

  • Creation of class communication list
  • Responsible to email important information from teacher or PAC
  • Attend monthly PAC meeting (when possible)

  • Bottle Depot - Mention Lochside Elementary PAC at return centres or use our blue bin (Note: our bin is temporarily offsite as of May 2024)
