1) *Thank Yous!* From LEPAC...
Thank you to all the newcomers who came to our September LEPAC Meeting. It was so exciting to see some new faces.
Secondly, thank you to everyone who has sent in donations for LEPAC so far. The district payment system should be up and running soon if you are hoping to make a donation online.
And lastly, thank you to our popcorn volunteers! We heard last Wednesday’s popcorn day was a huge hit. Well done!

2) *Executive Team Role Vacancy* Become Our New Treasurer!
It is with a heavy heart that after 3 years, Melissa Joyce has had to resign as our LEPAC Treasurer, effective immediately. She has been a true gift as our LEPAC Treasurer, and we are incredibly grateful for her leadership and support during her time in this role.
We are now tasked to fill the vacancy in an urgent manner, in order to keep on track for the current school year, and beyond.
Do you like numbers, spreadsheets and all things financial?
The Treasurer role requires being organized and available for regular communication, and is an essential role for our PAC to function properly. This includes:
- being in consultation with the Executive and school principal,
- drafting a budget and tentative plan of expenditure,
- preparing monthly financial reports and a yearend report.
Melissa is able to help show the new treasurer the ropes to help the transition go smoothly. We thank her for this gesture!
If you are interested, or if you know someone who would be great, please let us know as soon as possible. We are available to answer any questions so that you can assess if this role will be a good fit.

***************3) *Upcoming Events* This Week Sept 19-20 (Volunteers Needed!)
1) Welcome Back Meet n Greet Picnic, Sept 19
- Come take a look at your child’s classroom and come meet their new teacher from 4:30-5:30.
- Afterward, join us on the field for a low-key picnic and social time from 5:30-7. Bring your own food, blankets and chairs. LEPAC will be serving up pizza and hot dogs. Pre-orders are live on the hotlunch website and will be accepted until 8pm on Tuesday.
LEPAC is seeking volunteers to help with the distribution of food during the picnic. Please sign up here:
2) Terry Fox run will be September 20 from 1-1:30
- Parents are welcome to come and cheer on the Lizards.
- A toonie donation is requested and can be sent in to your child’s teacher.

4) *Sept 23 Pro D Day* LASP Space Is Available
Heads up! If you're looking for child care for the upcoming non-instructional day, LASP may have space to accommodate your kiddo(s).
They currently have space for the upcoming Pro d day on September 23rd. It's $50 for non-LASP families.

We need volunteers ASAP to spearhead a yearbook and Grade 5 graduation activities.
