2) *April 17* SD63 Community Budget Meeting
The Board of Education for School District No. 63 (Saanich) invites you to a Community Budget Meeting on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 7:00pm at Bayside Middle School, 1101 Newton Place, Brentwood Bay.
The Board of Education and the Saanich School District would be pleased to have you join us to participate in and contribute to the formation of our budget for 2024/25.
Public participation in this process is important for the Board's adoption of a budget that reflects the values, beliefs and priorities of the community. The evening will include a presentation on the budget process, the history of funding and related budget implications, and on the current budgeting context. There will be time for questions and answers, and also an opportunity to provide your input through a table talk session with reporting out.
- As part of the consultation process, the Board is asking the community to complete an online survey which closes at the end of day on April 29, 2024.
- A background document (available here) has been prepared to inform completion of the survey by those unable to attend the Community Budget Meeting.
3) *Volunteers Still Needed* Fun Lunch Program
- Please read each order screen carefully - there is often extra information to make ordering as easy as possible.
- Email us at lochsidefunlunch@gmail.com with any questions/concerns sooner rather than later. We would also love to hear from you if you have any suggestions for next year's fun lunches.
4) *This week* Next LEPAC (April 16) + *Save The Date* AGM meeting (May 14)
When: April 16 Tuesday 630-8pm
Where: The Learning Commons
All guardians and parents are welcome! *There may be childminding available*

5) *Pro D day is coming* April 22nd (LASP) 
The Lochside After School Program (LASP) may have spaces available for April 22. They are planning a field trip for this day.
If you're interested, please reach out via email lochsideasp@gmail.com by Thursday April 18th for details and payment information.

Lochside After School Program (LASP) serves the Saanich community located in the traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Esquimalt and Songhees) and W̱SÁNEĆ (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples. We acknowledge our traditional hosts and honour their welcome and graciousness to the students who seek care here.
