2) *Important* Solar Eclipse April 8th!
In case you missed it, a Solar Eclipse information document was emailed out a couple of days ago. Please see the attached PDF "Eclipse Saanich" with information about the solar eclipse (partial solar eclipse here on the island), happening on Monday April 8th.
3) *Volunteers Needed* Fun Lunch Program
- Please read each order screen carefully - there is often extra information to make ordering as easy as possible.
- Email us at lochsidefunlunch@gmail.com with any questions/concerns sooner rather than later. We would also love to hear from you if you have any suggestions for next year's fun lunches.
4) *Reminder: Tuesday, April 9* 2024 Literary Fair
- Save the Date: Tuesday, April 9th for the 2024 Literary Fair
- Time: 2:48 - 4pm
- Details: This is an opportunity for Lochside families to view a showcase of literary works created by Lochside students.
5) *Reminder* Tues April 9th - Mental Health and Technology Speaker - FREE ZOOM Session
COPACS has a great line-up of parent and family workshops coming in the next few weeks. I am pleased to pass along the details for the first session:
Mental Health & Technology: Help kids disconnect from toxic tech & reconnect with real life.
COPACS is pleased to invite all Saanich School parents to this informative evening with Elyse Cochrane of Future Ready Minds as she dives into concerns around tech addiction in children and youth, social media influence and much more (see linked poster here for more details)

7) *Pro D day is coming* April 22nd (LASP) 
The Lochside After School Program (LASP) may have spaces available for April 22. They are planning a field trip for this day.

Lochside After School Program (LASP) serves the Saanich community located in the traditional territories of the Lkwungen (Esquimalt and Songhees) and W̱SÁNEĆ (Pauquachin, Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) peoples.
