Thank Yous

Thank you so much to all the parent volunteers who have helped with our various fundraisers and events and to the ones who have signed up for upcoming events.

It has been so heart-warming to see the food drive donations coming in around the gingerbread house in the foyer and watching the enthusiastic signups for our Wish Tree. Lochside is such a wonderful community!

Holiday Book Shop

The holiday bookshop is happening December 7-8th!   Students will get a chance to “shop” for up to 2 books.  The recommended donation is $2/student.

Please send in good condition, used books for grown-ups - but no outdated computer books, religious books, etc. We are also looking for donations of wrapping paper and gift tags. There is a box by the front doors for your donations.

Half the proceeds will go to LEPAC and the other half to the Mustard Seed.

Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered - we still need one more helper!

Food Drive

Our food drive for the Mustard Seed and our Lochside Community is continuing until December 15.  Please bring food bank friendly food or the food suggested with your child’s classroom to the foyer.

We are still looking for a volunteer to help drive the food down to the Mustard Seed food bank on December 15. Please volunteer through this link here

Virtual Wish Tree

Lochside’s Wish Tree is back in support of families in our community. Please sign up to fulfil a wish of a child or family during this holiday season. After you have filled your wish please drop  the unwrapped gift in a bag to the office.
If you wish to provide a monetary donation to be put toward Walmart Gift Cards, that can also be brought to the office attn: Leila.

All wishes must be brought to Lochside by Monday December 12th at 3:00pm

Click here to see the wishes - there are still a handful of gifts to pick from.

Thank you for any support you can provide.

Country Grocer Receipts

If you were wondering, yes we are always collecting Country Grocer receipts! These earn us gift cards to use for school events. For example next week they will be buying all the students a small snack for after their Jingle Bell Run!

Collection envelopes for receipts are located outside of all classroom doors as well as one collection box in the main foyer.

Thank you!

From COPACS (our district-wide PAC)

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our district Parent Advisory Committee (called COPACS - Council of Parent Advisory Committees of Saanich) wants to hear from district families about speakers and resources that would be helpful to support you and your child(ren) grow and learn at school.

The COPACS Parent/Guardian Resource Committee has created a short survey for parents and guardians - please share with others and provide your thoughts by January 3rd.  Our school PAC will hear about the results and can potentially coordinate speakers and resources with other schools.

Any questions or concerns? Please contact copacssd63@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

COPACS Parent/Guardian Resource Committee
