During the meeting we finalized a draft budget for the 2022/23 school year. This budget will be voted on at our next meeting on October 11. The budget will be posted on our community board and is also attached here for you to review. If you have any questions, please let us know.
Lochside Halloween Event
Every year Lochside students and families like to participate in an after school Halloween event (last year was the Pumpkin Hunt, previous years were parties in the school). We would love to have one again this year but we need some volunteers to form a planning committee. LEPAC will support this committee with whatever they need but we just need your ideas and motivation!

Welcome Back Picnic
Lochside staff are hosting a welcome back picnic this Thursday September 22nd from 4:30-6:30.
Starting at 4:30, please visit your child’s classroom to meet their new teachers and have a quick look around. After your visit, bring your packed picnic to the back field for a bit of fun and socializing.
LEPAC will be there to sell a small run of Lochside-branded orange shirts for Orange Shirt Day. Tshirts are $20 and the proceeds will go towards a welcome pole that will be carved this year.
Parking
The school has asked that we send out another reminder about parking. Please follow the parking guidelines you received in our handout last week so that we can keep everyone safe - it really can be a nightmare parking lot situation if we’re not careful. The Walk to Five map is available here for your reference.
Pro-D Day Care
There is space available for childcare through LASP. Please contact Nicole at lochsideasp@gmail.com if you’d like to enquire about a spot.
Fun Lunch
The first ordering deadline for Fun Lunch is September 30.
To order:
Register for a new account, even if you had an account last year.
Go to lochside.hotlunches.net. Click on “register” in the top right corner to sign up. Our school code is LSHL. Enter your name, email and phone number, then a username and password that you will use for access to the system.
Once logged in, add your child (or children) by clicking on the “students” button. Once your child is in the system, you can place orders by selecting the “order” button below each child’s name. You will need to place your child in the correct division number so double check that you know it first!

Communications Coordinator
We are still looking for a Communications Coordinator for our LEPAC Exec. This role would have you attending monthly LEPAC meetings and assisting in spreading the word about LEPAC initiatives to our community. Please email us if you’d like to learn more or if you’re interested in taking this on.
