Hello Lochside Community! We are gearing up for another exciting week of school. Even though you’re excited, please take the time to park in appropriate places within our neighbourhood. Stay off of people's lawns and pay attention to neighbourhood signage. It’s okay to take your time when it comes to safety and being considerate of others.
LASP Board Call for Volunteers
The LASP Board is currently recruiting new board members, and would like to open the recruitment to the parents of the Lochside Elementary School Community, especially those who are enrolled with LASP. It is a great way to participate in the school community, provide valuable input on this ever expanding program, and connect with new friends.
As background, LASP operates independent of Lochside Elementary School, but provides before/after school child care service to the families of Lochside Elementary School. To continue running as a non-profit child care facility, offering amazing care to the children of Lochside Elementary School, the program relies on volunteers to act as Board directors. If anyone is interested in joining the LASP Board, please come to the next virtual AGM meeting on January 28 2021 by RSVPing to LASP at laspboard@yahoo.com

Fun Lunch
Last week an email was sent out to all parents who have Fun Lunch credits from last year. If you have Fun Lunch credit, please be sure to respond to lochsidefunlunch@gmail.com by February 5th. We need to know if you would like your money refunded or absorbed as a donation to LEPAC.

The presentation Childhood Anxiety: Empowering Strategies & Effective Supports - Building Resilience by Julie-Anne Richards, MA, RCC, CCC, will be presented over Zoom on Tuesday, January 26, from 6:30-8:00 pm.

LEPAC Parent Education Night
Please save the date! On February 17th at 6:30 LEPAC will be hosting a Zoom presentation through the UVic Speaker’s Bureau called Electronic Media and Young Children - Positive and Negative Effects on Development.
