What are we working on in class?
- Math: In multiplication we are learning to use the box method (area model or array) to help us solve multiplication of larger numbers. Check out this video if you are not sure how it works. This week we will also look at the partial products method leading us up to the traditional algorithm. Ms. Ammaturo continues to work on geometry with us.
- Gym: This week we are finishing off our basketball skills with shooting and game play.
- Reading: We are exploring themes in literature. This week we are finishing by looking at perseverance and acceptance.
- Social Studies: We continue our Two Worlds Meet project. This week are learning about Christopher Columbus and how he might have affected future explorers. We will be working on bias and perspective and look at two sides to the story. How was exploration for explorers and how was it for Indigenous people.
