Thank you
So many thank you’s to send out this week! We have such an unbelievable community and we are so grateful for all the hard work that parents/guardians put into making everything run so smoothly. For all those who do things that don’t get noticed in our shout outs or if no one even knows how often you help behind the scenes, we are so grateful for all you do as well!
A big thank you to Tanya H., Krista H. and Andy H. for helping to bundle and distribute veggie/fruit orders from the Fresh to You Fundraiser. This fundraiser raised almost $700 for our school with half of the proceeds supporting the Grade 5 Camp Thunderbird trip. The extra produce we received on our delivery day, that was not sold, was donated to the Saanich Neighbourhood Place.
Thank you to Nicole W, Susan T, Krista H, Heather G, and others for their hard work in getting the gingerbread house ready and preparing all the letters, gingerbread men and bags for the Food drive.
Thank you to Kirsty, Christy and all the people who helped with this past Fun Lunch, it was great to be able to make it up and it takes a lot of hard work and organization to make it all happen.
Fill The House Food Collection
Our Fill the House LEPAC initiative is starting tomorrow! This past Friday, each Lochside student was given a thrifty bag with a piece of paper of instructions as well as a gingerbread person. Please bring your food donations as well as your decorated gingerbread person and come by the office to check out our huge gingerbread house! We are excited to see the house being filled with non perishable food that will go to Lochside families in need as well as the Mustard Seed. We thank you in advance for your support in this important community event. We will be collecting food from Dec 2-6 and Dec 9-13th.
Christmas Tree Wishlist
We are excited to announce that families will have the opportunity to fulfill holiday gift wish list items for Lochside families in need again this year. There will be a tree in the lobby with gingerbread men hanging from it noting the various wish lists. Should your family choose to “fulfill a wish”, an adult may remove a gingerbread man from the tree, purchase the item on the back, return the unwrapped gift along with the gingerbread man and place it in the designated box under the tree in the foyer. The tree will be set up with the Wishlist items starting Dec 9th and will go until Dec18th.
LASP Winter Camp
LASP will be offering a winter camp on January 2nd and 3rd. The fee is $40 for non-LASP families and anyone that is interested can email to lochsideasp@gmail.com or call 250-658-1337.
