Novel Study: We are wrapping up our literature circles and will finish up our research projects on one of the immigrant groups we have been reading about. We will be researching push/pull factors, culture and traditions, settlement patterns, and challenges and contributions in Canada.

Social Studies: This week we are learning more about how B.C. joined confederation and how the Canadian Pacific Railway was a big part of it.

Math: We continue to deepen our understanding of multiplication strategies. Grade 5s will be extending their thinking to include double-digit multiplication. Grade 4s will continue with single digit multiplication by 3 or 4-digits.

Gym: We have started badminton and are working on rallying.
