LEPAC would like to thank Marissa C and Kirsty H for organizing and coordinating the Christmas Tree Wish List. We would also like to thank everyone who participated in providing a gift. Our community successfully provided a food hamper and gifts to 10 Lochside families this year!!!! Way to go Lochside!
We would also like to thank Alysha B, Jenni E and Nicole P for the Holiday Bookshop this year! This event would not be possible without the support of our amazing parent community. Thank you to all parents who signed up to help out as well as donated books to sell. The kids were so excited to see so many books!!!!
Popcorn Day and Fun lunch also happened this past week! Thanks to Kirsty H, Christy H, Alysha B, Lynn Rae M and Nicole P for organizing these events. We are also so grateful for all the parents who volunteered their time to help out and distribute food
Thank you to our Lochside staff and administration for supporting all of our LEPAC initiatives. Without your support, our events would not be possible. We are so lucky to have such an amazing staff at Lochside!!
EVENTS
Recording of Winter Concerts
Every year, we look forward to watching our children’s winter concert. Due to our venue, it is difficult for many audience members to view the performance. As a LEPAC, we have organized a parent volunteer to record both concerts in hopes to resolve this concern.
The recording will be available on USB stick for $10.00. If you would like a copy of the concerts, please fill out a form, attach $10.00 per USB stick and return it to an envelope outside your child’s classroom by Friday, Dec. 21st. Forms will be provided before and after the performances as well as an attachment to this email.
Please note that this copy of the concert is for personal use only and should not be posted on the Internet or any social media.
We hope this option will provide a more relaxed and enjoyable experience as an audience member as well as a copy for parents who are unable to attend.
Celebration/Farewell Assembly
Parents are welcome to join us on Friday Dec. 21st at 9 AM. We will say farewell Mrs. Moser and celebrate the activities and achievements of this term.
Games in the Gym
We are looking for parents to supervise Games in the Gym between Jan 8th and March 14th. Two volunteers are required per Games in the Gym session. Responsibilities include: opening up the storage room in the gym to access equipment; signing kids in and reminding them to change into their indoor shoes; supervising games/activities; walking kindergarten kids to their classroom after the program; and cleaning up the gym equipment.
Grade 5 Fundraising Bottle Drive
Everyone please consider saving your bottles for the Lochside Elementary Bottle drive taking place Saturday January 12th from 11 am to 3 pm at the parking lot of Lochside Elementary. All the proceeds go to help send the Grade 5s to Camp Thunderbird. We are also looking for a few parent volunteers to help count and sort during the bottle drive. This is a reminder to families to please return unsold coupons or their order form and payment on Monday 17th.
