THANK YOU

A huge Thank you to all those who helped make the Scholastic Book Fair possible this spring!  It is a big event that requires many hands, the kids love it and we love that it helps get more books into our school! A special thanks to Megan M and Amy C for running this event.

Thank you to the Lochside staff for the delicious goodies on Parent appreciation morning!

Thank you to Moira and everyone who helped with Fun Lunch this past week.


AGM/LEPAC Highlights


LEPAC is excited to present our exec for 2018-2019:

From the results of our survey, that was given to admin, staff and parents a motion was passed to bring forward for voting at next month’s meeting; to spend $16,000 on 2 safe water fountains/bottle filling stations and a new audio system.

 

Thank you to everyone who supported the vote for us to attend the BCCPAC conference in Vancouver.  



Volunteer Prize Draw

This week's winner of the volunteer gift basket is Nicole Whitsitt. Nicole has three children at Lochside Elementary and is Co-president of the Parent Advisory Council. Along with her many hours as PAC co-president Nicole has also run the Lochside Halloween event and has volunteered at most of the events that the PAC puts on. Thank you Nicole for your countless hours of work to help make Lochside a wonderful school for our students.

 

Educational Evening

On May 24th, Pediatric Allergist Dr. S. Cameron will be putting on a presentation on Food Allergies in Schools. This will be a tri-district event so make sure to reserve your ticket at the following link: Food Allergies.pdf



Games on the Green

Join us for Games on the Green in May!  This free drop-off program encourages active play before school and is offered by parent volunteers.  Drop your child off in the school field (or in the gym with their indoor shoes on rainy days) at 8 am on Thursdays from May 3- 31st.  Need more information or want to help out? May 23-25 Grade 5’s go to Camp Thunderbird

May 29 - ROMS year-end band performance. BBQ begins at 6pm, concert at 7pm

June 14 - District track

Sundays - Unplug & Play 1-3pm @ McMinn
