Upcoming Reminders and/or Events:
- We are very excited to have Miss Rosie Webster join us today and for the next nine weeks as she finishes her final practicum for her teaching degree through UVic. Please see attached letter from Miss Webster introducing herself and what she'll be teaching while she's here.

Social Studies & Writing Studio: This week we are learning about exploration and will be researching one of the many who explored in our country. We will be using books and websites to look for information on the country they explored for, when they lived and died, their major expeditions, and other important facts.
Math: We have started a unit on multiplication. Last week we looked at the box method and how to break down multiplication. Today we learned the traditional method and used the box method to help us understand the process.
Spelling: This week is a review week!
Gym: We have spent the last couple of weeks learning and practising our basketball skills. This week we will start our basketball tournament.
Reading Studio: We have looked at the types of conflict in stories, character vs character, character vs society, character vs self, and character vs nature. Now we will look back through our favourite books and see if we can match a book with each conflict in our Reader's Notebooks.
