Recording of Winter Concert will be available for sale!

Every year, we look forward to watching our children’s winter concert.  Due to our venue, it is difficult for many audience members to view the performance.  As a LEPAC, we have organized a parent volunteer to record both concerts in hopes to resolve this concern.

The recording will be available on USB stick for $10.00.  If you would like a copy of the concerts, please fill out a form, attach $10.00 per USB stick and return it to an envelope outside your child’s classroom by Dec. 22nd.  Forms will be provided before and after the performances as well as an attachment to this email.

Please note that this copy of the concert is for personal use only and should not be posted on the Internet or any social media.

We hope this option will provide a more relaxed and enjoyable experience as an audience member as well as a copy for parents who are unable to attend.

Internet Safety - Parent Education January 16th @ 7pm

We are very excited to have a presenter from the Whitehatter group coming in to speak to our grade 4/5 students on January 16. They will follow this  with an education evening for all parents who wish to attend. This is open to parents with children of all ages. Here is a bit of information on what they will be presenting:

Education is the first step in keeping our kids safer in this technology-driven world, and we believe parents play a very important role in this educational process. Technology is only a tool, we can determine its function & value because it's a conscious choice to do so. Research has shown however, that without good digital literacy education it becomes more challenging for students to make the right on-line choices. It is not uncommon that our children know more about the workings of the Internet and Social Networking than we as parents do.  This presentation is designed to educate even the most computer illiterate parent.  Knowledge and the understanding and application of that knowledge is power.  Our presentation will provide the knowledge, information and empowerment, based upon academically peer reviewed research, case studies and relevant real world examples that parents need to know about the Internet and Social Networking. The goal of our program; to educate parents on how to help keep their children safer and become more digitally literate, savvy and resilient while on-line. To date, thousands of parents (and growing) in British Columbia have heard our very unique and very empowering "pro-active" message.

Clothing Donations

We are currently seeking donations of children's leggings and pants to add to our supply of “emergency clothing.” While we encourage all children to have a spare set of clothing at school, “extras” come in handy especially during wet days! We welcome your donations at any time throughout the year. If your child has borrowed our extra clothing, we appreciate it being laundered and returned promptly!  Any donations can be dropped off at the office.
