Thank you to the Health School Committee for hosting a great Walk and Wheel to School Week.
Last week for BOKS! Join us on:
Tuesday & Friday
at 8-8:30am (before School)
on the School Field (or bring your indoor shoes to the gym on rainy days)
BOKS (Build Our Kids Success) is a free and active drop-off program and a great way for our kids to start their day! Games, obstacle courses and fun to be had. We are also recruiting Grade 5 students and parent volunteers who can help with this initiative again in the spring. HALLOWEEN PARTY
When- October 19th
Time- 5:30-8:30pm
Where- Lochside Elementary
What- games, prizes, dance with DJ, cupcake walk and food
Cost- Admission is $5 and food is by suggested $5/person donation
Food- pizza, hot dogs, chips, carrots
Volunteers- are essential for this event to be planned and carried out. A sign-up sheet will be provided this week for shifts during the Halloween party. Please consider signing up for a shift. Any one interested in helping prior to the event, please email Nicole at lochsidepac@sd63.bc.ca
This has become one of our biggest events of the year! You don't want to miss out. This is a great activity to come have some fun, eat some great food and get to know more of our Lochside families!! Costumes are encouraged!!!!!!!!!
CUPCAKES
One of the most popular events at the Halloween party is our annual Cupcake Walk. We encourage families to bake 2 dozen regular sized cupcakes, which are used to give away during our Cupcake Walk. Some families have made it a tradition to bake and decorate their Halloween themed cupcakes! It is always fun to see how creative everyone can be!!!!
We ask that the cupcakes are dropped off the morning of the Halloween party (October 19th) on the stage where they will be organized for the evening. Please label all trays and/or containers.

Coupon Books
Please return your order form or unsold coupon books by Tuesday October 10th. So far we have $629 in donations, sold 45 books and have 207 books returned.
Class Reps
Thank you so much to everyone who has signed up to be a class rep! It is such an important role for getting communication to all parents. If you have told a teacher that you will be class rep but have not added your name to the sign up genius, please follow the link to do so. New School Sign
A Motion has been made to approve the use of $11,000 in funds from LEPAC, in addition to $5,000 Fundraised for the purpose of a new sign. This motion will be voted on at the October PAC Meeting on October 18th at 6:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Fun Lunch
Just a reminder that payment for Fun Lunch is due October 9th.
