Thank You

Lochside held their Terry Fox run this past Friday and it was a huge success!  We had over 13 volunteers come and help prep 100 lbs of grapes and distribute them to the classrooms as well as assist the teachers during the run.  A big thanks to Jasmine Gudavicius, Evans Yu, Steph Nicole, Angie Hill, Christy Hryhoruk, Marissa Cameron,Lisa Perkins,Lynn Rae McCaulder, Lynn Hood, Nicole Whitsitt, Danielle Rados, and Chelsea Kirby!

big thank you to Bernard Spalteholz and Kevin Shields for organizing and restocking our emergency/natural disaster kits!

Thank you, teachers and administration, for the BBQ Thursday night!  It was such a great event with delicious food, wonderful teachers, and to a great time to connect with Lochside families!!

Thank you for those who could attend our first LEPAC meeting on Wednesday.  It was a great to see so many new parents attend and we look forward to seeing more at our next meeting on October 18 at 6:00pm.

Entertainment Coupon Book

LEPAC is once again organizing their first fundraiser of the year with our Entertainment Coupon Book! The books will be distributed early this week along with a letter of instruction and further details. All funds raised through this fundraiser goes directly to LEPAC initiatives. Thank you for your support

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER: Please hand in form and fees for POPCORN and FUN LUNCH ASAP. The deadline for fun lunch for the year is this Friday, September 29th!

Volunteer Opportunities- Volunteering is a great way to be involved in our amazing Lochside community. The following are some opportunities:

1) Class Reps- Each class needs a class rep. A class rep is someone who works hand in hand with the class teacher, Lochside PAC and parents to ensure all important information is shared.

If interested, Please sign up to be class rep at: https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/4090E4FADA729A7FF2-class1

2) BOKS- The LEPAC Health Committee offers this amazing morning activity program!  They are looking for a few volunteers to help out Tuesday and/or Friday mornings from 8-8:30am.

3) Morning Watch Program really needs volunteers!!  This program helps the school to ensure all students that arrive independently, or by bus, get to school safely.  The time commitment is small, and is not difficult – it basically requires the volunteer to check with teachers who have not yet done their attendance, and then check on (and possibly call) the absent students who have registered for Morning Watch.  The main time that you are needed is from 8:55am to 9:15am, leaving lots of time after drop off to walk a dog, grab a coffee, or catch up on emails!  If you can spare some time to help with this program, from once a month to once a week, please contact Carolyn Phillips at Lochsidemom@gmail.com.
