Dear Lochside families,

Please read on for this week's update:

Year End BBQ

The End of Year LEPAC BBQ is this coming Friday, beginning at 5pm. We are still seeking volunteers to help with this event.  Please see our sign up sheet and consider signing up for a shift.

  • When: June 23rd from 5pm to 8pm (Food Service from 5pm - 7pm)
  • Where: Lochside School
  • What:  BBQ hamburgers, hot dogs (vegetarian option available) and sides with all the trimmings for a suggested donation of $5 per meal.  Bouncy castles, photo booth, dancing, face-painting, relay races, temporary tattoos, bubble wands, freezies and more!
  • Bring:  Blankets and chairs, water bottles and cameras.

We will have auction bid sheets set up outside the office if anyone would like to make a pre-bid for VIP parking spaces at the school or 4 VIP front row tickets to Lochside's winter concert next year!  Bidding will also be open at the BBQ and winners will be announced at the end of the event.

We would also like to announce that our new school sign will be unveiled during the BBQ!

This will be an exciting event and we hope to see you there!

LEPAC Meeting

Our last LEPAC meeting of this school year will take place this Wednesday, June 21st, beginning at 6pm in the staff room. Child minding will be available and all parents/guardians are welcome to attend.

Triathlon

Congratulations to all students who participated in last Sunday’s Victoria Youth Triathlon and a special thanks to Allison S. for all her work organizing swim practices, triathlon club practices and communicating with parents of tri club members.  Thanks Allison!

Kitchen Clean Up

We are cleaning out the LEPAC kitchen and will be putting all containers and other items left behind in the lost and found.  Please pick up anything you have left; unclaimed items will be donated.

Unplug and Play

Unplug and Play is up and running and will continue throughout the summer.  Join friends and families at Lochside each Sunday from 1:00-3:00 for some unstructured, outdoor play time!

Summer Counselling Group

Beacon Community Services is  offering a summer counselling group for girls living on the Saanich peninsula and attending school in SD 63. Rain or Shine is a weekly art and nature based program for girls aged 11-14 who are experiencing anxiety. Please see the attached brochure.

Have a great week!
