Thank you to all the parents and family members who came to school to read with their child(ren) on Family Literacy Day, Friday, January 27th. Your partipation is greatly appreciated.
We would like to especially thank Daphne MacNaughton, a retired Principal at Lochside who joined us for the celebration! Mrs. MacNaughton is Project Leader of the “1000x5” Children's Book Recycling Project which aims to ensure every child in the Saanich Peninsula has at least 1,000 books read to them by the time they are five years old and entering Kindergarten.
Book donations are accepted for this Project all year round with a dropoff bin at the entrance to the library.
