Dear Lochside families,

It's the last week of school before the winter break and there are a few updates to share:

Winter Concerts

Every year we look forward to watching our children’s winter concert.  Due to our venue, it is difficult for many audience members to view the performance.  As a LEPAC, we have organized a parent volunteer to record both concerts in hopes to resolve this concern.

The recording will be available on disc for $5.00.  If you would like a copy of the concerts, please fill out a form, attach $5.00 and return it to an envelope outside your child’s classroom by Dec. 16th.  Forms will be provided before and after the performances as well as an attachment to this email.

Please note that this copy of the concert is for personal use only and should not be posted on the internet or any social media.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please speak to Principal Joe Grewal.

We hope this option will provide a more relaxed and enjoyable experience as an audience member as well as a copy for parents who are unable to attend.

Fill the House Food and Wish Drive

A full house and garage! Many thanks to Thrifty Foods for donating 400 paper bags to help with our food donations and to our Lochside Community for such great support in donating non-perishable food items and gift certificates for the Mustard Seed Food Bank. Not to mention the tremendous support in fulfilling wishes and allowing us to provide 14 hampers for our own Lochside Families!

Special thanks to Nicole W., Alysha B., Kirsty H.,  Heather G., Heather C., Lynn-Rae M., Marissa C., Brenda S., Jeni N., Heather R., Caroline K., Rachael H., Tina L., Stephanie K. and everyone else who helped with organizing and building.

Holiday Book Shop

The Holiday Book Shop was a great success and the students had a lot of fun choosing their special gifts and having them wrapped!  Thank you to Alysha B. and Jenni E. for organizing and to all the volunteers who came out to help.

Ongoing Fundraising

Canadian Tire - Unsure of what to do with all that Canadian Tire money sitting around?  Drop it in the jar located outside of the school office!  LEPAC will use those funds for sporting equipment, kitchen supplies or other items to benefit Lochside students.  A big thank you goes out to Marlena C. for organizing this!

Country Grocer Save-A-Tape Program - Country Grocer will issue gift cards for 2% (up to a total of $2,500) of the register receipts submitted. There is a box in the front foyer, by the library where Lochside friends and families can submit their receipts.

Cobbs Bread Royal Oak and Tru Value Foods on Cordova Bay Rd. - let them know you want to support Lochside at check out!

Thrifty Foods Smile Cards - use for your grocery purchases and support Lochside at the same time!

Have a great week!
