Dear Lochside families,

Parent Information Night

Please see the attached flyer for information about a workshop for parents this Tuesday at 7pm at Claremont School.  The topic is 'Understanding Mental Health'.  Pre-registration is required.

Movie Night

Come for dinner and a movie this Friday December 2nd at 5:45pm.  We are showing Finding Dory.  Pizza is $3.00/slice, popcorn and cookies are $1.00 each.  Students must be accompanied by an adult and we ask that you bring your own water.

We are looking for 6 volunteers to help put this evening together.  We need 2 volunteers to help set up tables and recycling at 5:30 that evening and we need 4 volunteers to sell pizza, cookies and popcorn. If you can help, please email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com.

Holiday Book Shop

Please come and be involved in the Holiday Book Shop where students can buy gently used books for $1.00 each.  The books are then gift wrapped by our wonderful volunteers. It’s a very cute event and so nice for the kids to feel that they can shop for gifts on their own for their family. Half the proceeds will go to the Mustard Seed and half will go to LEPAC for student initiatives.  To sign up to help, please follow the link.

Fill the House Food and Wish List Drive

Fill the House Food Bank and Wish List Drive starts tomorrow. Please help us support local families in need by filling our gigantic "Gingerbread House" full of non-perishable food items! Cash & gift cards also accepted.

Emergency Clothing

The office is in very short supply of emergency clothing.  At the moment, we require "pull on" type pants without waistband (eg. leggings, tights, sweat pants, both boys & girls sizes 4 to 10). Parents can drop off clothing donations in the office.

Ongoing Fundraising:

Canadian Tire - Unsure of what to do with all that Canadian Tire money sitting around?  Drop it in the jar located outside of the school office!  LEPAC will use those funds for sporting equipment, kitchen supplies or other items to benefit Lochside students.

Country Grocer Save-A-Tape Program - Country Grocer will issue gift cards for 2% (up to a total of $2,500) of the register receipts submitted. Students can bring their receipts to school with them to drop off.

Cobbs Bread Royal Oak and Tru Value Foods on Cordova Bay Rd. - let them know you want to support Lochside at check out!

Thrifty Foods Smile Cards - use for your grocery purchases and support Lochside at the same time!

Have a great week!
