Lochside Elementary School

Over the next few weeks our district's maintenance department will be working closely with Unitech Construction in preparation for a seismic upgrade to two kindergarten classrooms (Mrs. Takhar's and Ms Norris' rooms), the staffroom in the old wing as well as the gym. The upgrade will include the reinforcement of outside walls in the K classrooms, new windows in the old wing classrooms, a new roof for the K classrooms as well as the gym. In addition, there will be new flooring in the old wing hallway as well as the gym (hopefully). Parents will see different members of the construction crew on the school grounds as well as an office being set-up outside of the StrongStart room. The rest of the school has already undergone an upgrade or is already in compliance with the provincial building code. If you have any questions please contact principal, Joe Grewal.
