Dear Lochside Community:

Welcome back from Spring break!  There is a PAC meeting this week on Wed. March 25th at 6:00pm.  The  meeting will be held in the staff room and parents are encouraged to attend.  PAC meetings are a great opportunity to hear about upcoming school events/activities and meet other parents too!

On April 15th a Sexual Health Education night is being offered to help support parents in preparing their children for adolescence and the accompanying physical changes that occur. This event is being sponsored by COPACS and is organized by KHASA (Keating Home and School Association). Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Fun lunch is this Friday March 27th. Please check with your class reps to see if your class needs help. Thank you to all of the volunteers who support fun lunches!

And now, a message from MLA Gary Holman:

Hello friends,

We have an incredible chance to not only bring an NHL exhibition game to the Saanich Peninsula, but also bring upgrades to facilities that produced the likes of Jamie Benn, Olympian and Captain of the Dallas Stars. But we need your help!

Starting Saturday March 21stat 8:00 PM and ending March 23rdyou can vote to bring Kraft Hockeyville Canada to the Saanich Peninsula. Panorama Recreation Centre in North Saanich is in the top 10, and has won $25,000. But it doesn't need to stop there. With your help, we can reach the over 1 million votes that Panorama will need to secure the top spot, win $100,000, and get to host an NHL exhibition game.

Bringing Hockeyville to the Saanich Peninsula will inspire and support kids of all ages to excel in Canada's game. Go to khv2015.caand vote starting this Saturday at 8:00 PM. If you know anybody who would like to vote, but doesn't have a computer, the Panorama Recreation Centre will be hosting a vote-a-thon all day Sunday and Monday. There is no limit to the number of times you can vote, so vote early, and vote often!

Please pass this message along to your friends and family.

Thank you and happy voting.
