Dear Lochside Families:
Welcome Back! We hope you had a nice Spring Break.
We have a LEPAC Meeting this Wednesday night from 630-8pm in the staff room. We are looking for a couple more parents to volunteer with the PAC for next year. We have a great group and want to get a full slate for a smooth transition into the next year. Please come out and ask if you have any questions about roles/responsibilities.
The sign-up for our Cross-Country team will be on Monday at 11:15 am for students in Grades 3 to 5.
A fundraising Scholastic Book Fair with proceeds to international charity is this week on March 26th & 27th. See school website for exact opening times. We still need more parent volunteers to make this happen. Please email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com to help out. Thanks!
Fun Lunch is this Friday the 28th - we need parent volunteers for every class. Please come help out, it is fun to visit the school during the day and we need the help!

Battle Of The Badges Charity Hockey Game
On March 25, 2014 at 7pm, at Pearkes Arena, hockey players from the Victoria Police Department and the Saanich Police Department will face off in a game for bragging rights, and to raise money for Special Olympics of British Columbia.
What initially started off as a low-key challenge from one team to the other has grown into a more involved event. The two teams, the Victoria Police Capitals and the Saanich Police Watchdogs, will play sixty minutes of hockey to determine a winner.
Senior Management from both organizations have embraced this opportunity to build camaraderie and have also issued a challenge: the Administration of the losing team will hoist and fly the winning Department's flag in front of the losing team's office for the weekend following the game.
The event will take place on March 25, 2014 at Pearkes Arena in the Gold rink at 7:00 PM. Admission to the event will be by donation and all monies will be presented to Special Olympics of British Columbia.
Cliff LeQuesne from 100.3 The'Q' will be the honorary Master of Ceremonies and Ken "Hurricane" Himes will provide the music. Youth sensation Lily Cave will there to sing the anthem. Saanich Police mascot "Ace" will be there for the kids as well as Marty the Marmot (Royals Mascot).
There will also be door prizes for those who donate and noise makers for the kids. Door prizes will include a Victoria Royals Jersey and Royals tickets.
