On Wednesday, Jan. 8th, the “Maple Man” was at the school and talking to students about French culture and how they make maple syrup in Quebec. It was a wonderful presentation that was enjoyed by all of the students in our school. Each class had a 45 minute session with the "Maple Man." Students had the opportunity to learn how maple syrup is made, play musical instruments such as the spoons and taste sweet taffy made from maple syrup. Please ask your child (ren) about what they had learned. This presentation was very well received by all of the students and staff. A big thank you to teachers Diane Hillier organizing and to Joe Winkler for his assistance. Here is a short video of this presentation.
