Students at Lochside Elementary were treated to a surprise visit by the members of a local sports team. Three of the Victoria Royals hockey players visited Lochside on Friday. Royals hockey players Ben, Steven and Mitch read hockey stories to students in grades one and two. Our students enjoyed listening to the stories and had a lot of questions for the players. Later on in the afternoon Ben, Steven and Mitch played a game of floor hockey with our grade 4/5 students. It was a very exciting contest and a close game between the All-Stars lead by Lucas and the Destroyers lead by Matias. I'm sure the game ended in a tie!
