 June 21st... Was truly a day to remember!

The day was filled with spirit, joy, water (lots of water), and of course, fun!

• Welcome Pole: The unveiling & blessing of our Welcome Pole was truly special. Being able to experience the work Douglas (Bear) Horne created, and share the moment with so many honoured guests and our students, was a gift. May our new Welcome Pole bring positivity, curiosity and connection at Lochside for an abundance of years. 
  
  
• A Huge Thanks to Division 12 Moms! We would like to send a big shout out to the amazing Division 12 mothers for donating freezies for Fun Day!! Your cool contribution has brought smiles and joy to all the Lochside children, making a hot day much more enjoyable. Your kindness and support truly make a difference in our Lochside community. You rock!
  
  
• End of Year Picnic: Thank you again to all the volunteers who helped make sure the picnic went off without a hitch.  From the food trucks, to the jars, to the endless amount of treats before bed, this year's picnic was a delight. Let's do it again next year, Lochside!

2) *Reminder: Save the Date Tuesday, September 10* LEPAC Meeting

Just in case you missed last newsletter... We adjourned the 2024 LEPAC Meeting last week with good feelings, and appreciation all around. Thank you to everyone who came to a LEPAC meeting this year! 

Please save the date: Join us in the Learning Commons 630-8pm, Tuesday, September 10. 

LEPAC organizes fun events, puts the 'fun' in fundraising, and helps make special additions to our school happen (like our Welcome Pole). We have a lot of fun things in store for the 2024-2025. We'd love to have more folks attend the meetings and share your ideas so that we can have another successful school year.

4)  *Thank you!* Note to Parents/Guardians/Caregivers

As we wrap up the school year, it is important that we acknowledge and appreciate all the hard work you've done this year to help our community of students experience the richness of what Lochside has to offer.  

At the beginning of the year, some of us were brand new to Lochside with our kindys. Now, some of us are moving along to middle school with our grade 5s. Wow! All of you contributed to the community's spirit and success: as volunteers, as dedicated parents/guardians, and as participants in the many concerts, activities and events that were offered each month. 

It's no surprise that there is so much to juggle during the school year, and you've done a fantastic job of helping the students navigate all the many shifts and changes. Whether you were able to do a little, or even a lot, you are appreciated!

So, please give yourself a little "well done" when you get a moment, okay?
