Lockdown Drill
In case you missed Mrs. Takhar's email yesterday; here is what will occur during the upcoming lockdown drill:
As you know, every year we must practice a Lockdown Drill so that students know what to do in case of different emergencies. We are fortunate to have our liaison office, Cst. Dean Robson, assist and direct us in these drills.
Our drill will be held on April 27th at 12:30 pm and students will have lots of discussion and preparation with their teacher beforehand. When the drill commences, Admin will come over the school PA system and say the message:
"This is a lockdown drill." This will be repeated three times. When that happens, students will move to their safe space in their classroom as directed and discussed by their teacher. Students are to remain quiet during the drill.
Admin & Cst. Robson will walk through the building to ensure that all spaces have been locked and that students are following their teacher's instructions. At the end of the drill, Cst. Robson will come over the PA system and let the children know that the drill is complete. The whole drill will take around 10 minutes to complete.
