Grade 5 Yearbook Information

Just as an introduction, we are Joanne (Ivan T’s mom) and Nina (Jaya’s mom). We are excited to be coordinating the yearbook for our Grade 5 Lochside graduates this year. The yearbook is a special keepsake for our graduates, and we would love to make it complete and full of great memories to reflect back on their elementary years (2016 – 2022). In doing so, we will need your help in providing us with the pictures. We will soon be sending out our requests for specific photos by email. The emails will come with Dropbox link(s) for photos to be uploaded. Please be sure to label all your pictures (by adding a comment in Dropbox on each picture) with the student name(s) and/or the event/year, so we know how to place them when we work on the layout.

Our goal is to complete this yearbook in time of the Graduating Class BBQ in early June, so the grads can spend time at the event having their friends and teachers sign them. As this is a big project and we are working on a tight timeline, we ask that everyone please take note of the deadlines that will be provided in the emails. The deadlines will be firm, but we will send out a reminder ahead of the deadline. We want all graduating students to be included in the yearbook, but in order for that to happen, we need your participation and to submit the pictures in a timely manner.

If you have any questions, we can be contacted:

Joanne: joannelum@hotmail.com

Nina:  nina.bindra@gmail.com

Thank you so much, and we look forward to producing a memorable yearbook for the Grade 5 grads to reflect on their years !

Daily Health Check

Please ensure you are doing a daily health check with your student(s) and keeping children home if they are not feeling well and then following guidance of public health or the BCCDC as to when they can return.

Reporting an Absence or Late Arrival

Please email lochside_attendance@saanichschools.ca to report your child’s absence or late arrival. You may copy the email to the classroom teacher as well.

Ongoing Fundraisers

We have a few fundraisers that run year-round and help out LEPAC with things you might ordinarily do anyway

  1. Our new bottle refund bin - leave your returnable empties in the blue bin at the end of the driveway

  2. Country Grocer - Save your receipts and bring them back to school with your child

  3. Mabel’s Labels - Try and save your kids’ items from the Lost & Found with cute little labels here. A portion of your purchase will be sent back to LEPAC!
