Happy Lunar New Year to all our Lochside Families

The second Wednesday in February is known as Pink Shirt Day. At Lochside, we like to make the whole month of February about shining a light on kindness towards others. Be on the lookout for a fun LEPAC activity happening soon.

No extras will be ordered so this is your last chance to snag one and avoid disappointment.

Fun Lunch Volunteers

We need some Fun Lunch Volunteers for this Friday’s Subway Order. Please follow the Signup Genius Link here to sign up


Bottle Drive
Our no-sort drive-through bottle drive is coming up quick! Please save all your returnable drink containers to drop off at the front parking lot on Sunday February 27 from 10-2. There is a poster attached to this email. If you can print it and post it in your neighborhood that would be much appreciated!


Staff Appreciation
We need one more volunteer for the Staff Appreciation event happening in late May. If you can volunteer for this event please email lochsidepac63@gmail.com. 


LASP Pro-D Day and Spring Break Care
The Lochside After School Program is offering spaces for all Pro D days and Spring Break to the Lochside Elementary School community.  If you require care please email us at lochsideasp@gmail.com.  The next Pro D day is on February 18th and we will be open from 7:30-5:45.  The fee for non-LASP families is $40.

Summer camp registration will be open to the school in mid April so you can reach out to us at that time.


Saanich Schools Strategic Plan 2022-2027
The Saanich Board of Education has been working to develop a new Strategic Plan.  The Board’s Strategic Plan serves as a framework through which district directions and decisions are considered and initiated.

The engagement survey closes on Feb 25, 2022.


Fast Ball
Registration for all levels of Cordova Bay Fastball is open until March 15. It is free with a volunteer commitment. www.cordovabayfastball.ca 


Ongoing Fundraisers

  1. Country Grocer - Save your receipts and bring them back to school with your child

  2. Mabel’s Labels - Try and save your kids’ items from the Lost & Found with cute little labels here. A portion of your purchase will be sent back to LEPAC! 


Daily Health Check

Please ensure you are doing a daily health check with your student(s) and keeping children home if they are not feeling well and then following guidance of public health or the BCCDC as to when they can return.


Reporting an Absence or Late Arrival

Please email lochside_attendance@saanichschools.ca to report your child’s absence or late arrival. You may copy the email to the classroom teacher as well.
