Thank Yous
Thank you to Nicole, Kirsty, Val, Lydia, Anya and Heather for collating all the welcome back to school packages.  Also, thank you to the office staff Steph, Kitlin and Tracey for all their hard work in preparing for those packages and a successful start to the year.  Don’t forget to return the forms to your teachers as soon as possible.

Fun Lunch
It is very exciting that Fun Lunch is back.  The first Fun Lunch will be on Friday, October 1st.  This means that all orders for October to December are due Thursday September 23rd!

Attached is information on how to order Fun Lunch for your student(s).

Class Reps
We are looking for 1 or 2 class reps for each classroom. This is a very important and fun role that allows you to be a part of your child's class and an integral part of easy communication between class, LEPAC and parents.

Some of the responsibilities of a class rep are:

  • Ask and sign up parent volunteers for events such as fun lunches, field trips etc.  (Sign up genius is a free program that works amazing for things like this)
  • To send out important information on events from your teacher and LEPAC

  • It would be good if at least one of the two class reps could attend the LEPAC monthly meeting so they are aware of what is happening at present and in the future.

If you are interested please sign up here and we will be in touch. Also, if you have already connected with your student’s teacher about this role, please add your name here also.

Halloween Committee
We are looking for volunteers and for someone to lead our Halloween event this year!  This year's event will look different than past years, but we expect it to be a lot of fun.  If you are interested in helping plan this event please contact us a lochsidepac63@gmail.com. We will be putting out a call for day of volunteers sometime in October so watch for more information.

Parking
J
ust a friendly reminder that parking and the school parking lot can be chaotic. To help make the school transitions less stressful we recommend parking offsite and walking the last few minutes to Lochside.  If you are using the school parking lot, remember to drive all the way to the end of the drop off lane, let your student(s) out and then continue out of the parking lot.  This lane should not be used if you need to assist your student(s) in getting out of the car.  When parking on the side streets around Lochside please follow all posted signs and be respectful of our neighbours.

Covid Safety
Please remember to give teachers space when dropping off and picking up. We also recommend wearing a mask when on school property. Masks are mandatory inside the school should you have to enter for any reason.
