We would like to thank all Lochside Staff for the extra effort required this year to be able to teach and support our students.  We notice your efforts in all the ways you have made it a safe and enjoyable year in these unprecedented circumstances.  This is no small feat on your part, so Thank You!

 

Royal Oak and Lochside Intersection

You may have noticed work happening at this intersection.  Saanich Engineering is changing the traffic pattern and adding bicycle signals to the intersection to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety. Saanich also plans a Leading Pedestrian Interval at this crosswalk.  You can read about Leading Pedestrian Intervals here

 

LEPAC Exec - We Need You!

What does LEPAC Do? The role of LEPAC is multi-faceted and includes supporting the strong community and school spirit at Lochside and working closely with Lochside staff in providing support for the School Plan’s literacy, numeracy and healthy living goals. Our aim is to enrich our children’s experiences while at Lochside and to offer parents a way to connect with their children, their children’s teachers, friends, and other parents in delivering these experiences.

Good Deeds Cup Finalists

A few of our Lochside Lizards belong to a U13 hockey club who are now finalists in the Good Deeds Cup. This is a contest for youth teams across Canada to pitch their local charity. This team chose the Children’s Health Foundation, who do so much work to support our families on the island.You can see their ​video pitch here​ - please vote and help them win $100,000 for the Children’s Health Foundation!

Cobs Bread - mention that your purchase is for Lochside Elementary before you pay
Bottle Drive - Take your bottles in and quote Lochside Elementary School PAC at the beginning of your transaction
