CATCHMENT BOUNDARY REVIEW FEEDBACK

The Saanich School District is seeking community input to inform a school catchment boundary review. The purpose of the review is to address imbalance between school capacities and catchment populations in the southern zone of the district, and to consider other catchment boundary issues that may exist in the district.

To balance school capacities with catchment populations, the district completed a study identifying options to add capacity where possible, and to adjust catchment boundaries where necessary.
To participate in their survey, please click the below link.  The survey must be completed by October 21, 2020.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK

Parent volunteering within our school community has always played an important role.  We have been requested to remind all parents who would like to volunteer this year to please complete the online Criminal Record Check.  Without a Criminal Record Check, parents are unable to attend field trips, trail walks, fun lunch, etc.   Volunteers are required to complete a Criminal Record Check every three years.

Despite the limited opportunities for parent volunteers so far this year,  volunteer opportunities may change later in the school year.  We want to make sure all parents are prepared to jump in when needed instead of having to wait for a Criminal Record Check to be processed.

Please apply online to the Ministry of Justice at https://justice.gov.bc.ca/eCRC/ and use Access Code UV53DWHBYX

Have a great week!
