Thank you's
We would like to extend a BIG thank you to Alysha, Nicole and Nicole for organizing the Halloween party.  We would also like to thank Barry for organizing the food, Krista for organizing the games and cupcake walk and Ivi for DJ'ing the dance!!!  A huge thank you to Danielle, Lynn Rae, Susan, Jamie, Kirsty, Danielle, Anya, Reet and Irene who helped with decorations.  We also could not have even run the event without all the amazing parents who signed up that night to take a shift or two as well as the 1000 cupcakes donated!!!!  We want to thank the ROMS and Claremont students for volunteering which gave our parent community more time to spend with their family that night.
A big thank you to our administration and staff all their support of this event including the unbelievable decorations each class contributed to, using their rooms and assisting with the set up.
It was a fun night with great music, fun games and delicious food.  The unofficial funds raised was just over $4000.  Way to go Lochside families!!!

Fun Lunch Update
Our fun lunch on November 1st was canceled due to the strike but will be rescheduled.  We will provide you with more information as soon as the strike ends and we can organize a date.

Strike Update (from the District)
Support Staff Bargaining Update (November 3, 2019)
The parties continue to remain engaged in negotiations.  However, there is no agreement yet in place.  In an effort to ensure that parents/guardians have as much notice as possible, we are announcing that Saanich Schools will remain closed for instruction on Monday, November 4, 2019.  Should this status change we will update our website immediately.  Our singular goal continues to be to find a settlement with CUPE 441 as quickly as possible so that our schools can re-open.

Parents and guardians are asked to monitor the Saanich Schools website (https://www.sd63.bc.ca/) for the most current information.

Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic book fair will be postponed until spring, more information to come
