Happy Thanksgiving! We hope that everyone had a great long weekend and that you have much to be thankful for.
Thank Yous
Thank you to all the parents and guardians who came out this past Friday to help with Fun Lunch. It is such an important program that we run at the school that brings in the majority of our fundraising money. Thank you to Kirsty and Christie for heading this up.
Thank you to Liz, Krista, Nicole, Anne and Anya for preparing the Entertainment books for distribution.
Thank you to Areli for organizing the walk/bike/wheel to school week.
Thank you to Mrs. O’Leary and Ms. Norris for all their hard work in the school, and for being there to help everything run smoothly.
LEPAC Monthly Meeting
Come join us this Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 to be a part of all the exciting things going on at the school. Voting to pass this year’s budget will be taking place at this meeting as well. Child care is provided free of charge.
Fresh To You Fundraiser
Get your BC fruit and veggies here! In partnership with the BC School Fruit & Vegetable Nutritional Program, LEPAC is selling veggie/fruit bundles to raise money for our school and to support the grade 5 Camp Thunderbird trip. Please see the attached order form for more information. Orders are due October 18th. If you are able to help unload and assemble our produce delivery (date in November to be confirmed), please email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com.
Parking
Parking at and around the school can become a contentious subject, one that can get emotions running high and frustration for all. Please remember that we are all a part of the same community, and we need to have respect for each other and the laws and rules that have been set out. Let’s all work together to build a safe, happy, positive community.
Entertainment Books
Entertainment books need to be returned no later than Friday, October 18. If you are not interested in selling Entertainment Books, but would like to contribute to LEPAC (without fundraising) we are accepting donations as well. Please make cheques payable to LEPAC and put cash or chqs in an envelope and hand in with your book, or give to your child’s teacher. If each family donated even $10 per child, we would raise $4,320 to use for school programs, field trips etc!
This event is coming up Wednesday October 16th. This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce preschoolers to their neighbourhood school
Claremont Screamfest
See the attached poster for Claremont’s Halloween Screamfest happening on October 23. They have a spooky time from 5:30- 7 and a scarier version from 7:30-9. If you are interested in tickets, please email us at lochsidepac63@gmail.com and we will have tickets set aside at the office for you, tickets must be pre arranged by emailing above. Prices are $10/person or $30 for an elementary family of 4. Chqs are to be made payable to LEPAC.
