Thank you to ou Co-Presidents Megan and Nicole for their continued efforts and hard work for LEPAC and our school community throughout the year.
Walk & Wheel to School comes to Lochside October 7-11, 2019.
Did you know almost half of students are driven to school and most trips to school are less than 3km and some are less than 500m! Walk & Wheel To School is one way to celebrate and promote active travel year-round.
There are lots of ways to get involved every day of the school week:
- Drive to Five (drive to a spot 5 minutes away from school and walk the rest of the way!)
- Two (or 4) Tuesday (bike, scooter or skate your way to school)
- Walk on Wednesday
- Transit Thursday (sign up for the SD63 bus)
- Freedom (car-free) Friday
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week, parent (and maybe some student) volunteers will be handing out stickers to add to our active travel poster to those participating in active travel. Look for our active travel finish line at the front of the school.

Coupon packages
We are looking for about 10 people to help in putting together some coupon packages this Monday at 9 am on the stage. If you are able to help, please email lochsidevolunteers@gmail.com so we know that we have enough helpers.
Fresh To You Fundraiser
Get your BC fruit and veggies here! In partnership with the BC School Fruit & Vegetable Nutritional Program, LEPAC is selling veggie/fruit bundles to raise money for our school and to support the grade 5 Camp Thunderbird trip. Please see the attached order form for more information. Orders are due October 18th. If you are able to help unload and assemble our produce delivery (date in November to be confirmed), please email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com.
How to Report an Absence
Have you ever wondered what to do or who to contact if your child is sick or will not be attending school? Look no further, Mrs. O’Leary has answered our question! If you child will be missing school, simply email lochside_attendance@saanichschools.ca to let the school know. If you would like you can also CC their teacher.
