Thank Yous

We would like to thank Kirsty and Christie for organizing the fun lunch this past Friday.  We also want to thank all other parents who came to deliver the food as well help the kids clean up.

Thank you to the LEPAC Health Committee for organizing the Games in the Gym program.  What a great way for our children to start the day! We also want to thank all the parents who signed up to supervise during these times.

 

Gaming and Screen Addiction (LEPAC Parent Education)

We are excited to announce that Shannon Husk will be providing a presentation to parents on Wednesday, May 8th starting at 6:30pm.  She will be focusing on gaming and screen addiction.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

 

District Parent Education Night

All parents of SD63 are invited to attend a parent education presentation on MINDFULNESS presented by Lotus Village on May 9th from 7-8:30pm at Deep Cove Elementary School.  No RSVP required. Please see the poster attached for more information

Screen-free Week

LEPAC is promoting Screen-free Week from April 29-May 5th.  Students are encouraged to only use screens when required for school during this week.  Students who participate in screen-free activities will be eligible to enter a daily draw for some great prizes.  Please see the attached handout.


Unplug & Play!

Our school-wide play date resumes on Sunday, April 28th with Unplug and Play!  All families are welcome to meet at McMinn Park on Sundays from 1 to 3 pm, through until October 20th, for unstructured play and fun!

Skip-A-Thon
On Wednesday, May 8th, Lochside will be hosting a Skip-A-Thon for our students in the gymnasium. Students will be skipping with the goal of raising funds to support research and care services for heart and stroke patients.

We ask your support in making a donation to help fight heart disease. Lochside will donate the collected funds to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.

Please consider adding to our loonie/twoonie drive on May 8th. If you would like to donate by cheque, make cheques payable to School District 63 (Saanich). You can donate online as well. It is fast and easy and using this method you will get a tax receipt.
