Thank You’s
Thank you to Alysha, Lynn-Rae and Nicole Pulin for all your efforts on Popcorn day. Also, thank you to Scarlett for her great work with the Entertainment Book Fundraiser.
Cupcake Trays
Families that donated cupcakes for the cupcake walk, please do not forget to pick up your trays from the Multipurpose Room/Kitchen. There are about 20 containers left in that room, and this room gets used for Fun Lunch, Popcorn Days and LASP.
Scholastic Book Fair - 30 VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED
Our fall Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place on November 17, 20 and 21st. This is such an amazing event which puts hundreds of books in our kids hands and in our library! We are in still in need of volunteers for this event especially for the Tuesday morning. Please consider volunteering for an hour or two, we can’t do it without your help! Grade 5 Fundraising
The Grade 5 students have begun fundraising for their Camp Thunderbird experience! To help you prepare for the holidays, they are selling from two catalogues: Purdy’s and Scoops Cookie Dough and Cheesecake. A percentage of sales from each of these companies is returned to the school to help fund the Grade 5 trip to Camp Thunderbird. To order: contact the family of any grade 5 student and order through them, contact the fundraising team at lochsidefundraising@gmail.com or you can review the catalogues and put an order in at the office (please make sure to include your child’s name and class). All orders are due by Nov 24th.
We also now have a fundraising account at the Bottle Depot! If any Lochside families or friends would like to donate bottle returns throughout the year, you will be able to do so at three Bottle Depot locations: 4261 Glanford Ave, 655 Queens Ave and 3961 Quadra Street. Please be sure to let the cashier know at the beginning of your transaction that you would like to donate your bottles to the LOCHSIDE GRADE 5 FUNDRAISER account and your returns will be applied to help with costs for Camp Thunderbird.
Last but not least, please mark your calendars for a BOTTLE DRIVE BLITZ that will be held in the school parking lot on January 13, 2018. More info to follow soon!
Coming up Thursday Nov 23rd is this year’s first movie night. We still need 3 volunteers for this event. If you are available please email lepacvolunteers@gmail.com.
