When? Wednesday, November 15th at 7:45-9:45am
Where? Begins at Lochside Elementary - Meet at the Front Doors
Who? Interested parents, staff and students, school district staff, municipal engineering staff, local law enforcement and health professionals
What? As part of the District of Saanich’s Active and Safe Routes to School program we’ll go for a short neighbourhood walk to look at concerns that were identified in the on-line surveys. The walk will be followed by a debrief discussion.
Specifically we will:
· Identify active transportation safety concerns on our streets
· Brainstorm strategies with school district and municipal staff, local law enforcement and health professionals
Coffee will be provided. Students are welcome to attend before schools starts. Parents are responsible for their children during the walk.
Please contact Kate Berniaz at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
Hope to see you there!

Our fall Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place on November 17, 20 and 21st. This is such an amazing event which puts hundreds of books in our kids hands and in our library! We are in desperate need of volunteers for this event to be successful. Please consider volunteering for an hour or two, we can’t do it without your help! Half of these donations will support the Grade 5 Camp Thunderbird trip. For complete details please see the attached document.
A colouring sheet with more information should have come home last week, or see the link. Have your child complete the colouring page for a chance to win one Produce Fundraising Box. Entries must be submitted to the school office by November 15th.
