Safe Routes to School - Walkabout Invitation

When? Wednesday, November 15th at 7:45-9:45am

Where? Begins at Lochside Elementary - Meet at the Front Doors

Who? Interested parents, staff and students, school district staff, municipal engineering staff, local law enforcement and health professionals

What? As part of the District of Saanich’s Active and Safe Routes to School program we’ll go for a short neighbourhood walk to look at concerns that were identified in the on-line surveys. The walk will be followed by a debrief discussion.

Specifically we will:

·         Identify active transportation safety concerns on our streets

·         Brainstorm strategies with school district and municipal staff, local law enforcement and health professionals

Coffee will be provided. Students are welcome to attend before schools starts. Parents are responsible for their children during the walk.

Please contact Kate Berniaz at kberniaz@crd.bc.ca with any questions or concerns.

Hope to see you there!
