Dear Lochside families,
Please read on for this week's update:

Final Cross Country Meet on Wednesday
Lochside is hosting the final cross country meet of the season this Wednesday, May 3rd. The races are being held at Centennial Park on Wallace Drive in Saanichton and the coaches are hoping to recruit 10 parent volunteers to help out at the meet. Please contact Sherisse Norris at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to volunteer.
It’s not too late to volunteer or contribute a dish for the Staff Appreciation Potluck Luncheon on Thursday, May 4! This is a great way for parents to show their appreciation for the staff that work so hard at Lochside, by providing a dish for the lunch or volunteering to assist at the lunch. Please use the sign up genius links below to let us know if you will be able to contribute. Any questions, please contact Carolyn Phillips by email at email@example.com or call/text to 250-920-9652.
½ Price Scholastic Book Fair
We are still in need of a number of parent volunteers to help make our Scholastic Book Fair a success! This is such a fun event for students, staff and families and ALL proceeds benefit our Learning Commons. Please take a moment to sign up for a shift (or more!) here.
Silent Auction Fundraiser – Save the Date
LEPAC is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Silent Auction Fundraiser to help raise funds for a new electronic/digital sign for our school! This event will be held on Friday, June 2nd at the Beach House Restaurant, so mark your calendars! More details will be coming home with students at the end of this week.
This is going to be a fun event and if you would like to be a part of our organizing committee, please contact Kelly Perry. We would love to see you!
Annual Year End BBQ
Lochside’s Annual Year End BBQ will take place on Friday, June 23rd from 5:00 – 8:00! We will have a BBQ, bouncy castles, face-painting, photo booth, relay races and so much more … so mark those calendars! More details to come soon.
This is a wonderful community building event and we would love to hear from you if you are interested in being a part of the planning and organizing committee. We appreciate any time a parent or guardian is able to contribute and no contribution is too small. Please contact Kelly Perry if you would like to be involved in any way.
Car Seat Check-Up Event
Are you using the right seat for your child? How is the installation? All children must use a child seat or a booster seat that is appropriate for their weight and age until their ninth birthday. There is a Car Seat Check-Up event happening on May 13th. Please see details and registration information attached.
Have a great week!
